The Opportunity

As an SAP EWM Functional Manager, you will play a key role in leading and delivering end-to-end SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) implementations. You will work closely with clients to design, configure, and optimize warehouse management solutions while driving business transformation and operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex engagements, manage teams, and contribute to innovation in SAP supply chain solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of SAP EWM solutions across the full project lifecycle, including presales, design, build, testing, deployment, and hyper-care.
• Demonstrate strong functional expertise and business process knowledge while driving design discussions and gap analysis in client engagements.
• Drive successful implementation and delivery of SAP EWM solutions.
• Configure and customize SAP EWM end to end solutions to align with business requirements and operational objectives.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones with a strong focus on quality and excellence.
• Responsible for preparing Functional specification documents for end-to-end solutions.
• Design and execute test scripts, perform system and integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Create impactful presentations, deliver insights through reports, and conduct end-user training sessions.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism in client interactions, upholding organizational values and brand reputation.
• Contribute to internal capability building through active participation in SAP EWM initiatives and innovation efforts.
• Team management, provide strategic solutions, and drive the workshops.

Skills and attributes for success

• Proven experience of delivering complex SAP EWM implementations with strong functional expertise.
• Broad understanding of warehouse processes across different industries such as Automotive, Retail, Pharma, and Life Sciences, etc.
• Should have sound knowledge in some of SAP ERP modules such as SD/MM/WM.
• Knowledge of implementing project in Agile Delivery methodology or SAP Activate methodology.
• Good to have knowledge of advanced features of SAP EWM (Cartonization, Labour management, MFS, TM integration, Dock Appointment Scheduling, Shipping Cockpit).
• Good to have knowledge of integration with cross module SAP TM, PM, SD, MM, PP, ATTP, GTS

To qualify for the role, candidate must have

• College degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences
• 5+ years of relevant experience as Functional consultant in SAP EWM module. Able to exhibit a progression of increasingly complex job responsibilities during the period.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4 HANA and EWM.
• Should have worked on at least 2 full life cycle implementationsin SAP EWM.
• Extensive experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and maintain high standard of work quality. Support team as a lead and help team deliver by taking care of their challenges and have team built intact.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP-EWM solutions, from Explore-phase, Build-Phase, SIT-phase, UAT-Phase, Cutover-Phase, Go Live-Phase and Hyper Care-Phase, we are part of all these Phases during deployment and post-implementation Support. Along with Leading Workshops, training sessions and end-user documentation to ensure knowledge transfer to the Project-team and Client Staff.
• Collaborate with business Stakeholders to understand and Analyse Warehouse Processes and translate them into SAP-EWM Solutions and accordingly Configure SAP EWM System based on Business process execution.
• Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP Modules such as SAP-MM, SAP-SD and SAP-TM.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP-EWM.
• Proficiency experience in interface development (RFC/ALE/IDoc/Web Services/DRF)
• Expertise in SAP Mobile Technologies Implementations using: SAP Console/ITS Mobile/RFID for Radio Frequency Framework Solution design
• Should have sound knowledge in some of SAP ERP modules such as SD/MM/WM/PP/PM/GTS and SAP Transportation management (TM).
• Should have strong exposure of SAP EWM System-setup, System-integration, Warehouse-Setup, Outbound, Inbound and Internal processes with VAS, Quality Inspections and EGR, Wave Management, Physical Inventory, Posting Changes, WOCR, Packaging-Specifications, Condition records, Resource-Management.
• Experience in creation of Master Data i.e. Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure, Settings for Handling Units etc. Must have sound knowledge and experience in configuring/modifying Post Processing Framework in SAP EWM. Along with a strong expertise in setting up the system integration between SAP ERP with SAP EWM
• Experience of having worked in an onsite- offshore delivery model would be a plus
• Experience of having worked in a CMMI organization would be a plus
• SAP EWM certification a plus
• Able to lead the team
• Able to provide Solution
• Able to execute Workshops
• Knowledge of SAP ABAP and debugging a plus.
• Good knowledge on Project management would be added advantage
