Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

 

The Opportunity

As a Senior HCM Payroll Specialist, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing our payroll processes within the Human Capital Management (HCM) framework. This role offers you the chance to lead payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of employee compensation.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with HR, finance, and IT teams to enhance payroll systems and processes, implementing best practices that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Your expertise will be essential in addressing complex payroll issues, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

In this position, you will also play a key role in mentoring and training junior payroll staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional development. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and is committed to delivering exceptional service to our employees.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Need to work as a team leader (technical leader) to contribute in SAP HCM Payroll implementation project.
  • Lead teams in the business transformation / managed services track of SAP engagements.
  • Conduct Business Blueprint requirement gathering workshops to gather business requirements and finalize to-be design.
  • Deliver Business Blueprint, configuration, functional specifications, unit test scripts, integration test scripts as per business requirements.
  • Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators.
  • Planning and monitoring of the project deliverables from the team.
  • Mentor the project team in executing the identified projects.
  • Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators.
  • Interface with the customer representatives as and when needed.
  • Willing to travel to the customers locations on need basis.
  • Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
  • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Good knowledge of PA/PM, time integration with payroll.
  • Configure tax related requirements for ANY of the countries including US, UK, Canada, Australia, Dubai and NZ.

 

Ideally, you’ll also

  • Should have strong process experience in SAP HCM.
  • SuccessFactors experience will be an added advantage.
  • Should have understanding and experience of integration best practices.
  • Excellent business communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.

 

What we look for

  • Over 3-5 years of SAP HCM experience including minimum 2 implementations in end to end payroll process.
  • Must have worked on Wage type, Schema and PCR configuration.
  • Good knowledge of PA/PM, time integration with payroll.
  • Configure tax related requirements for ANY of the countries including US, UK, Canada, Australia, Dubai and NZ.
  • BE/BTech/MCA with a sound industry experience of 3-5 Years.
