Role Summary

Results-driven SAP ABAP consultant with 3–5 years of experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting applications on SAP S/4HANA. Strong expertise in core SAP ABAP including reports, enhancements, and smart forms & Adobe forms, with hands-on experience in performance optimization on SAP HANA.

Proficient in building and consuming ABAP CDS Views for efficient data modeling and exposure via SAP OData services. Experienced in developing and enhancing output forms using SAP Adobe Forms and SAP Smart Forms.

Skilled in designing interactive and classical reports using SAP ALV, with a strong focus on usability and performance. Possess working knowledge and exposure to modern development paradigms such as SAP RAP for building RESTful services in SAP environments.

1. Adobe Forms

• Using SAP Adobe Forms

• You should have built at least 2–3 forms independently
• Debugging standard forms (invoice, PO)
• Dynamic tables, logos, conditional display

 

2. CDS Views

• Using ABAP CDS Views

• Write CDS with joins + associations
• Use annotations (UI, OData)
• Understand performance vs traditional SQL

 

3. Smart Forms

• Using SAP Smart Forms

• Maintain + debug existing forms
• Minor enhancements

 

4. OData Services

• Using SAP OData

• Build services using SEGW
• Implement CRUD methods
• Debug service calls

 

5. ALV Reports

• Creating different types of SAP ALV Reports

• Strong command (this is basic at your level)
• Interactive ALV
• Editable ALV (grid)

 

6. SAP RAP (Exposure)

• Using SAP RAP

• Understand architecture
• Create simple RAP app

 

Good-to-have Skills

• Certifications such as SAP Certified Developer etc are advantageous.

 

Responsibilities:

• To work as an individual contributor on projects
• Developed and enhanced custom programs using SAP ABAP, including reports, performance tuning, data uploaders, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects).
• Designed and optimized data models using ABAP CDS Views, leveraging annotations and associations for improved performance on SAP HANA.
• Implemented enhancements using user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement
• Collaborated with functional consultants to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Provided support for production issues, performed root cause analysis, and delivered timely bug fixes and enhancements.
