About Global Delivery Services

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

 

The Opportunity

The Contingent Workforce Manager is responsible for shaping how EY GDS engages, governs, and optimizes its flexible talent ecosystem, including staffing partners, gig based providers, and search partners. This role ensures the business has a simple, consistent, compliant, and cost effective way to access contingent talent, while delivering a high quality experience for stakeholders.

You will work closely with Operations, HR, Finance, Legal, and Service Line leaders to strengthen governance, reduce out of program activity, and modernize contingent workforce processes and tools (e.g., SAP Fieldglass or internal platforms). The role plays a critical part in enabling an agile talent strategy that supports broader Talent Acquisition and business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Vendor Management
    • Provide day to day leadership and oversight of staffing partners, gig based providers, and in program suppliers, ensuring consistent, high quality service delivery.
    • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, drive accountability, and partner on improvement initiatives aligned with HR and business priorities.
    • Build strong, trusted relationships with suppliers to enable timely fulfilment, responsiveness, and compliance across all service lines.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensures all contingent workers meet legal, tax, and employment regulations, reducing risks associated with misclassification.
  • Spend Management & Reporting Insights
    • Deliver clear, actionable insights to HR and business leaders that support workforce planning and reduce out of program spend.
    • Analyze trends, risks, and demand signals to influence workforce mix, budget decisions, and sourcing strategies.
    • Improve transparency through effective reporting, dashboards, and governance forums.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
    • Continuously refine contingent labour processes to simplify workflows, increase adoption, and enhance user experience.
    • Own and maintain end to end standard operating procedures covering requisition creation, onboarding, timekeeping, extensions, and offboarding.
    • Support enterprise wide enhancements across processes, technology, and reporting aligned to strategic talent goals.
  • Field Engagement, Training & Adoption
    • Design and deliver scalable training, guidance, and communication materials that make contingent hiring processes easy to understand and consistently applied.
    • Partner with Service Line leaders to understand workforce needs, recommend appropriate contingent solutions, and develop action plans to meet hiring and productivity goals.
    • Drive adoption of approved tools, processes, and suppliers across the business.
  • Escalation Management & Issue Resolution
    • Act as the primary escalation point for vendor performance issues, worker concerns, and process breakdowns.
    • Identify root causes, resolve issues in collaboration with HR, Legal, and vendors, and implement preventive controls and improvements.

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12–13 years of experience in contingent workforce management, vendor management, recruiting operations, HR, procurement, or related functions.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience working in SAP Fieldglass or similar contingent workforce management systems.
  • Proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and influence decision making with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in improving processes, driving adoption, and simplifying complex user experiences.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • A proactive, solution oriented mindset with a strong focus on operational rigor, governance, and continuous improvement.
