Team Leader

We are building a next-generation AI-powered EdTech platform and are looking for a Python Backend Team Lead to drive architecture, development, and scaling of our backend systems. This role requires strong expertise in backend engineering along with hands-on experience in AI/ML system integration.

You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with AI engineers, and ensure high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of scalable backend systems using Python
• Architect and manage APIs, microservices, and data pipelines
• Integrate AI/ML models into production systems (recommendation engines, NLP, adaptive learning systems)
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to deploy models efficiently
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and security
• Mentor and manage backend developers
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
• Optimize database design and query performance
• Manage cloud infrastructure and deployments
• Work closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams
• Required Skills & QualificationsCore Backend SkillsStrong experience in Python (Django / FastAPI / Flask)
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
• Knowledge of caching systems (Redis, Memcached)
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• AI/ML IntegrationHands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into backend systems
• Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Experience with NLP, recommendation systems, or adaptive learning systems (preferred)
• Understanding of model deployment (Docker, APIs, inference pipelines)
