Trainee - Product Design Engineering

Purpose

This role manages the Profile Design professional service activity regarding the card personalization solution projects using IDEMIA's Personalization Systems and other local systems. This role analyzes the technical requirements and estimates the workload, plans and schedules the development, develops and configures the product and tests the product.

Key Missions

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Profile Development (Learning & Contribution)

Assist in developing Electrical Profiles for SIM & eSIM (SAIP / eUICC) based on customer requirements.
Support compliance activities aligned with standards such as 3GPP, ETSI, ISO, GSMA, GlobalPlatform and TCA.
Participate in SIM/eSIM profile development activities for 4G and 5G technologies.
Analyze customer requirements with guidance from senior team members.

2. Testing & Quality Assurance

Perform Manual Testing and gradually contribute to Automation Testing.
Debug issues and report defects using tools such as Jira.
Create and maintain basic test documentation including:
Test Plans
Test Scenarios
Test Cases
Support automation efforts under guidance.
Execute regression testing to ensure quality releases.
Follow defined testing processes and timelines.

 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field (recent graduates / freshers preferred).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of software testing concepts (manual testing fundamentals).
Willingness to learn and work on telecom technologies, including SIM / eSIM concepts.
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile methodology (through academics, internships, or projects).
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Internship, academic project or coursework related to software testing or telecom domain.
Basic knowledge or exposure to telecom concepts.
Awareness of SIM / eSIM, SAIP, or eUICC concepts (not mandatory, training will be provided).
Exposure to Agile practices through projects or internships.
Basic understanding of automation testing concepts is an added advantage.
