Job Description

  • Plan and assign vehicles based on customer requirements.
  • Arrange vehicles from transporters or fleet owners at competitive freight rates.
  • Monitor vehicle movement from loading to delivery.
  • Coordinate with customers, transporters, drivers, and branch offices.
  • Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of shipments.
  • Handle route planning and optimize vehicle utilization.
  • Resolve transit delays, breakdowns, accidents, and other operational issues.
  • Maintain records of vehicle placement, dispatch, delivery, and detention.
  • Negotiate freight rates with transporters.
  • Monitor vehicle turnaround time (TAT) and reduce idle time.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, permits, and safety requirements.
  • Manage POD (Proof of Delivery) collection and submission.
  • Prepare daily MIS reports on vehicle status, dispatches, pending deliveries, and exceptions.
  • Control transportation costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Handle customer complaints related to transportation and provide timely resolutions.
