Job Overview
We are looking for a creative and fast-paced Video Editor who can create engaging news-style and viral content videos for social media platforms.
The ideal candidate should understand internet culture, audience retention, fast editing styles, and modern social media trends. You should be able to turn raw clips, news assets, and references into highly engaging videos.
Responsibilities
- Edit news-style and viral videos for YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms
- Create fast-paced, engaging, and attention-grabbing edits
- Work closely with the content research team to understand the video angle and flow
- Use internet assets, clips, photos, references, and stock footage creatively
- Add subtitles, transitions, effects, sound effects, and background music
- Create platform-optimized content for Shorts, Reels, and long-form videos
- Maintain proper pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
- Understand trending editing styles and adapt quickly
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar editing software
- Strong understanding of viral content and social media trends
- Ability to deliver videos quickly without compromising quality
- Creative mindset with strong visual storytelling skills
- Understanding of YouTube retention and short-form content structure
- Basic knowledge of thumbnails and hooks is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience in news/media content editing
- Motion graphics knowledge
- Sound design and cinematic pacing understanding
- Experience editing Shorts/Reels content
