Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Maintenance Manager for a Solar Module Manufacturing Plant. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all production machinery and utility equipment to ensure maximum uptime, productivity, safety, and machine efficiency.

The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of solar module manufacturing machines, especially Stringer Machines, Laminators, and Framing Machines. Experience in handling automation systems, PLCs, pneumatic systems, and utility equipment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Production Machine Maintenance

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of all solar module manufacturing machinery. 
• Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities. 
• Minimize machine downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). 
• Maintain critical spares inventory and machine maintenance records. 

Major Machines to Handle

The candidate must have strong experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of:

• Stringer Machines 
• Laminator Machines 
• Framing Machines 
• Bussing Machines 
• EL Testers 
• IV Testers 
• Glass Loading & Layup Systems 
• Potting Machine / Junction Box Machines 
• Conveyor & Automation Systems 

Technical Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo, and PLC-related issues. 
• Handle calibration and alignment of machines. 
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for machine servicing and AMC activities. 
• Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) practices. 
• Prepare maintenance schedules and SOPs. 
• Monitor utility systems including compressors, chillers, vacuum pumps, and electrical panels. 

Team Management

• Lead and manage maintenance technicians and engineers. 
• Allocate shifts and maintenance tasks effectively. 
• Train team members on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices. 
• Ensure discipline and adherence to safety standards. 

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure safe maintenance practices and compliance with EHS standards. 
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance requirements. 
• Support implementation of 5S and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in: 
• Electrical Engineering 
• Mechanical Engineering 
• Electronics Engineering 

Experience Required

• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in industrial maintenance. 
• At least 5+ years in Solar Module Manufacturing Industry. 
• Strong hands-on experience with: 
• Stringer maintenance 
• Laminator maintenance 
• Framing machine maintenance 
• Experience in automated production lines is mandatory.
