Job Description
Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying customer needs, proposing automation solutions, and driving sales of industrial automation products and services. This role bridges the gap between engineering and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial sectors (manufacturing etc.)
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable automation solutions (PLCs, SCADA, DCS, robotics)
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions with clients
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams for solution design
- Manage client relationships and provide pre-sales and post-sales support
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, sensors, drives)
- Good understanding of electrical/control systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Sales and negotiation abilities
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
