Job Description
Job Summary
The HVAC Sales Engineer is responsible for generating business opportunities,
preparing techno-commercial proposals, and driving sales of HVAC systems and
solutions. The role combines technical expertise with sales skills to understand client
requirements, design suitable solutions, and close deals while ensuring customer
satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify and develop new business opportunities in HVAC projects (commercial,
industrial, residential).
Generate leads through consultants, contractors, builders, and direct clients.
Meet clients, understand their requirements, and present suitable HVAC
solutions.
Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
2. Technical Evaluation & Solution Design
Study client requirements, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare basic HVAC designs, heat load calculations, and system selection (VRF,
chillers, ducting, ventilation, etc.).
Recommend cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions.
3. Proposal & Tendering
Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
Handle tender documents, BOQs, and bid submissions.
Coordinate with estimation and design teams for accurate costing.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients.
4. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Follow up on leads, quotations, and payments.
Handle customer queries and provide after-sales support.
5. Market Analysis
Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and new technologies.
Identify potential markets and upcoming projects.
Provide feedback to management on market conditions.
7. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain sales pipeline and CRM records.
Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports.
Track order status, billing, and payment collections.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems (VRF, chillers, AHU, FCU, ducting,
ventilation).
Ability to read drawings and prepare BOQs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Commercial awareness and cost estimation skills.
Self-motivated with a target-driven approach.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and CRM tools.
