Service Engineer – Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) Selection Criteria

*Qualification*

• ITI / Diploma- fitter , 12th Pass

*Experience*

•0-1 years of experience in servicing .

• Experience with gasketed and brazed PHEs is preferred.

• Experience in ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems is an advantage.

*Technical Skills*

• Assembly and dismantling of PHEs.

• Plate inspection and identification of damaged or warped plates.

• Gasket removal and re-gasketing.

• Plate cleaning (chemical and mechanical methods).

• Pressure testing and leak detection.

• Plate pack tightening as per manufacturer specifications.

• Knowledge of PHE performance, fouling, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to read P&ID, GA drawings, and service manuals.

*Responsibilities*

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of PHEs.

• Diagnose leakage, reduced heat transfer, and pressure drop issues.

• Replace damaged plates and gaskets.

• Prepare service reports with observations and recommendations.

• Coordinate with customers and project teams during shutdowns.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and permit systems.

*Additional Skills*

• Good communication and customer handling skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively across India.

• Valid driving license (preferred).

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email, report preparation).
