Job Description
A Machine Service Engineer installs, maintains, repairs, and diagnoses industrial machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety while providing technical support to clients. Key responsibilities include conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical breakdowns on-site, training users, documenting services, and managing spare parts inventory.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure maximum uptime, and diagnose/repair electrical or mechanical malfunctions.
- Installation & Commissioning: Install new equipment, configure systems, and perform initial testing to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze technical issues using testing tools and provide solutions to fix equipment.
- Customer Support: Provide technical training, advice, and support to clients on safe and efficient machine operation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, including conducting risk assessments and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Inventory Control: Manage, order, and restock necessary spare parts and tools.
