Qualification:

Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience:

2–4 years of relevant experience in the purchase/procurement department

Job Summary: We are seeking a competent Purchase Engineer responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring industrial consumable items. The candidate should have hands-on experience in vendor management, cost analysis, and ensuring timely procurement to support uninterrupted operations.

• Key Responsibilities: Handle procurement of industrial consumables and related materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, perform comparative analysis, and finalize vendors based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, maintenance, stores) for material planning and requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with vendors for pending orders.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and vendor details.
• Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Good knowledge of industrial consumables and procurement processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, etc.)
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple vendors and tasks efficiently
