Job Title: Marketing Field Sales Manager – Pipe Sales

Department: Sales & Marketing

Industry: Pipes / Plumbing / Building Materials / Infrastructure

Reports To: Regional Sales Head / Branch Manager

Location: Field-Based / Territory Assigned.


Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and aggressive Marketing Field Sales Manager to drive sales growth for pipes and related products in the assigned market. The role involves dealer/distributor development, contractor and builder engagement, project sales, market expansion, and strong field execution. The ideal candidate should have experience in building materials, PVC/CPVC/UPVC/HDPE pipe sales, or construction product sales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for pipe products.
  • Generate new business through dealers, distributors, plumbers, contractors, builders, and project consultants.
  • Identify upcoming residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Expand market share in the assigned territory.
  • Develop new channel partners and strengthen existing accounts.
  • Dealer / Distributor ManagementAppoint and manage dealers, distributors, and stockists.
  • Ensure regular order flow, billing growth, and healthy stock levels.
  • Resolve channel issues related to pricing, supply, claims, and collections.
  • Execute trade schemes and incentive programs.
  • Project SalesMeet builders, architects, consultants, MEP contractors, civil contractors, and government project stakeholders.
  • Get product approvals and specifications in new projects.
  • Follow up from enquiry stage to order closure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for supply and timely deliveries.
  • Field MarketingConduct plumber meets, dealer meets, product demonstrations, and promotional activities.
  • Increase brand visibility through boards, displays, counters, and market branding.
  • Gather competitor pricing, schemes, and market intelligence.
  • Collections & OperationsEnsure payment collections as per company credit policy.
  • Maintain sales reports, visit plans, pipeline tracker, and market feedback.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for dispatches.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
  • 3+ years experience in pipe sales / building materials / sanitary / hardware / construction products.
  • Strong network with dealers, plumbers, contractors, and builders.
  • Good negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of PVC, CPVC, UPVC, HDPE, SWR, plumbing, or drainage products preferred.
  • Willingness for extensive field travel.
  • Preferred Candidate ProfileExperience in brands like pipe, fittings, plumbing, tiles, cement, steel, or paints.
  • Strong local market knowledge.

Compensation: Fixed Salary + Incentives + Travel Allowance + Performance Bonus
