Job Description
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and specifications to determine exact part dimensions.
Machine Setup: Position and secure raw materials in the lathe; select, install, and adjust the correct cutting tools.
Precision Machining: Control feeds, speeds, and coolant flow to cut, drill, thread, or taper the material into the required shape.
Quality Control: Use precise measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) to verify that parts meet strict tolerances.
Maintenance: Conduct regular cleaning, oiling, and routine maintenance on lathes and associated machinery.
