Operation Head

Job Title: Operation Head – Manufacturing

Department: Operations / Production

Reporting To: Director

Job Summary:

The Operations Head will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production of magnets while maintaining quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves strategic planning, process optimization, and team leadership to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Lead and manage overall plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain.

2.      Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.

3.      Ensure timely production planning and execution to meet customer delivery schedules.

4.      Monitor and improve manufacturing processes (sintering, machining, coating – specific to magnets if applicable).

5.      Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement continuous improvement practices (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).

6.      Oversee inventory control, raw material planning, and vendor coordination.

7.      Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.

8.      Drive performance metrics (OEE, productivity, rejection rates, downtime reduction).

9.      Lead, train, and develop departmental teams for high performance.

10.  Coordinate with HR, Purchase, Sales, and Finance for smooth operations.

11.  Handle audits (internal, external, ISO/IATF) and ensure compliance.

12.  Implement automation and digital initiatives where applicable.

3.      Knowledge of magnet manufacturing processes (preferred)

4.      Expertise in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / Kaizen

5.      Strong communication and team management skills

6.      Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering

Experience:

1.      5-10 years in manufacturing industry

2.      Minimum 5 years in a leadership/plant head/operations role

3.      Experience in magnets, automotive, or heavy manufacturing industry preferred
