Job Description

PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Design and modify control logic for industrial automation systems.
  • Perform commissioning, startup, and onsite support for automation projects.
  • Integrate PLCs with VFDs, sensors, servo drives, instruments, and communication networks.
  • Configure industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, and Profibus.
  • Prepare electrical/control documentation, I/O lists, functional design specifications, and test reports.
  • Diagnose and resolve control system faults during production and maintenance.
  • Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
  • Support preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical teams.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, or Schneider Electric.
  • Experience in HMI/SCADA development.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, control panels, drives, and instrumentation.
  • Understanding of electrical drawings, P&ID, and control schematics.
  • Problem-solving and commissioning experience.
