Job Description

  • Procurement & PurchasingProcure construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks, electrical, plumbing, hardware, and finishing materials.
  • Source new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
  • Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approval and issuance.
  • Track purchase orders until successful delivery.
  • Vendor ManagementDevelop and maintain an approved vendor database.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, and service.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues regarding delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
  • Inventory CoordinationCoordinate with stores and site engineers regarding material requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of critical construction materials.
