Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in electrical control panel manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all panels are manufactured, wired, tested, and dispatched in accordance with customer specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct stage-wise and final inspection of electrical control panels, MCCs, PCCs, PLC panels, VFD panels, and automation systems.
- Verify panel assembly, component mounting, wiring, ferruling, cable termination, and labeling as per approved drawings.
- Review electrical schematics, BOMs, GA drawings, and customer specifications.
- Perform and witness routine testing, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and functional testing.
- Prepare inspection reports, test reports, quality checklists, and quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and customer requirements.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers and consultants.
- Maintain quality records and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Required SkillsStrong understanding of electrical control panel manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, GA drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical testing procedures and quality inspection methods.
- Familiarity with electrical components such as MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and instrumentation devices.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Educational QualificationDiploma / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience2–3 years of experience in a Control Panel Manufacturing Company (Mandatory).
- Experience in quality assurance, inspection, testing, or production quality of electrical panels.
- Preferred ExperienceExposure to MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, APFC, and Automation Panels.
- Knowledge of FAT, quality documentation, and customer inspections.
- Familiarity with Siemens, Schneider, ABB, L&T, Allen-Bradley, and similar industrial components.
