Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. The professional collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, while continuously monitoring and analyzing system behavior to prevent potential disruptions. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize downtime.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team capability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve support processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with MySQL Database Administration.
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Experience in backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Ability to monitor database health and troubleshoot issues related to database connectivity and performance.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and access control management.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
