Job Description

Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Industry: FMCG – Food

Location: Pune (Shivaji Nagar)

Role Summary:

Responsible for driving sales targets, expanding distribution, managing distributors, and ensuring strong market execution for client's products across GT, MT, Institutional Sales, and Company Branded Stores.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly/annual sales & revenue targets
  • Manage distributors, expand GT/MT/Institutional channels
  • Lead and coach sales team; monitor performance
  • Execute trade schemes, promotions, and merchandising standards
  • Track sales, prepare reports, and analyze market trends
  • Build strong customer relationships and resolve market issues


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Marketing/Business (Food Tech preferred)
  • 3+ years FMCG sales experience (GT mandatory; MT/Institutional preferred)
  • Proven distributor handling & team management skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, CRM
