Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will lead and manage all HR functions across the organization, ensuring the implementation of effective human resource strategies that support business objectives. The role is responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, statutory compliance, compensation and benefits, learning and development, industrial relations, HR operations, and organizational development.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, FMCG, or agribusiness environments with a strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and people management.


Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified talent.
  • Coordinate manpower planning with department heads.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, selection, offer management, and onboarding.
  • Build relationships with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and job portals.
  • Maintain an updated talent pipeline for critical positions.

2. Employee Onboarding & Induction

  • Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Prepare appointment letters, joining documentation, and employee records.
  • Conduct induction programs covering company policies, culture, and safety practices.
  • Monitor probation and confirmation processes.

3. Performance Management

  • Design and administer the Performance Management System (PMS).
  • Coordinate annual performance appraisals and goal-setting processes.
  • Support managers in employee performance reviews and development planning.
  • Recommend performance improvement initiatives.

4. Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs across departments.
  • Prepare annual training calendars.
  • Organize technical, behavioral, leadership, and compliance training programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Administer salary structures, annual increments, incentives, and employee benefits.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs with the Finance department.
  • Ensure timely statutory deductions and compliance.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.

6. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Organize employee welfare programs, recognition initiatives, and cultural events.
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and recommend improvements.
  • Promote company values and a positive work culture.

7. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook.
  • Ensure HRMS data accuracy and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly HR MIS reports and dashboards.

8. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and inspections.
  • Manage compliance related to PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Shops & Establishments Act, Factories Act, POSH, and other applicable legislation.
  • Maintain statutory registers and records.

9. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Conduct domestic inquiries where required.
  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations with workers and unions.
  • Support conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.

10. Policy Development & Organizational Development

  • Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Support organizational restructuring and change management.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
