Associate Software Test Engineer
Company Description
We are seeking a brilliant Performance Engineer to join the NIQ team and contribute to Performance Testing efforts.
In this role, you will work alongside team to execute performance tests, analyse performance data, and troubleshoot performance issues for NIQ applications.
Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, and APMs, with a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field of Performance Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering performance requirements and developing basic testing scenarios.
- Prepare and execute performance test scripts for web (HTML/HTTP) and API applications.
- Support the identification of performance bottlenecks in multi-tier cloud hosted systems.
- Learn to use application performance monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics to track and improve application performance.
- Use log analysis tools (e.g. Datadog) to assist with performance diagnostics.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot performance-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Help in preparing performance reports, summarizing results and providing insights.
- Stay informed about new trends and tools in performance engineering.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in performance testing
- Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools.
- Basic knowledge of Cloud, Kubernetes, Containers and Linux systems.
- Willingness to learn how to use performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or Datadog.
- Basic understanding of multi-tier application architecture.
Preferred:
- Full Stack Engineer experience
- Exposure to leveraging AI tools and technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, or JavaScript) and performance testing automation experience
