Job Description – Factory In-charge

Position: Factory In-charge

Location: KP Industries,

Shop No.1 , Behind Ramdeo Sweets, Velu Phata, Pune

Department: Production

Reporting To: Director

Education Requirement

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• ITI (Fitter/Welder) + experience can be considered

 Experience

• 2–5 years in fabrication shop (preferably process equipment / tanks / structures)
• Experience in MS, SS, FRP fabrication preferred

 Key Responsibilities

 Production & Fabrication

• Supervise fabrication of:
• Tanks, reactors, evaporators
• Skids, structures, piping
• Ensure work as per drawings (GA, fabrication drawings, P&ID)
• Daily production planning & target achievement

 Shop Floor Management

• Manage welders, fitters, helpers
• Allocate work & monitor productivity
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower and machines

Quality Control

• Check:
• Welding quality (visual, DP if required)
• Dimensional accuracy
• Material traceability
• Ensure fabrication as per ISO / client standards

 Material & Inventory

• Maintain stock of:
• Plates, pipes, fittings
• Welding electrodes, consumables
• Coordinate with purchase/store

 Safety & Compliance

• Ensure:
• PPE usage
• Safe welding practices
• Fire & electrical safety
• Maintain clean and organized shop

 Coordination

• Work with:
• Design team (for drawings clarification)
• Site team (for dispatch & installation)
• Handle client inspection if required

 Technical Skills Required

• Reading fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of:
• Welding (ARC, TIG, MIG)
• Cutting (gas, plasma)
• Rolling, bending
• Basic understanding of:
• Pumps, blowers, evaporators (preferred for KP Industries work)

• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, reports)
• Team leadership
• Problem-solving attitude

 Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Production target achievement
• Rework reduction
• Material wastage control
• On-time project completion

Salary Range

• ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience)

Additional Preference

• Experience in wastewater treatment / evaporator fabrication
• Experience handling client inspection & documentation
