Field Sales Executive (General Trade)

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-energy Field Sales Executive to lead our offline expansion. In this role, you will be the face of our brand in the market. Your primary goal is to build a distribution network from scratch, onboard new retailers (General Trade), and ensure our products are visible on the shelves.

This is an entry-level role perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people, and has a strong desire to build a career in FMCG Sales.



Key Responsibilities

1. Market Coverage & Beat Planning

  • Execute daily market visits according to a defined Permanent Journey Plan (PJP) (visiting 30–40 outlets per day).
  • Identify and map new potential outlets (Kirana stores, chemist shops, bakeries) in your assigned territory to expand coverage.

2. Sales & Order Booking

  • Pitch our products to retailers, explaining the USP and margins to secure orders (Secondary Sales).
  • Push for range selling (ensuring the retailer stocks multiple SKUs/flavors) to increase bill value.
  • Achieve monthly revenue and volume targets.

3. Distributor Management

  • Coordinate with the local distributor to ensure orders booked are delivered within 24–48 hours.
  • Monitor distributor stock levels to prevent stock-outs.

4. Merchandising & Visibility

  • Ensure the product is placed at eye level or in high-visibility zones (Counter Top/Shelves).
  • Deploy Point of Sale Materials (POSM) like posters, danglers, and stickers to grab consumer attention.

5. Reporting

  • Maintain daily reports of calls made, orders booked, and new outlets opened.
  • Use the Sales Force Automation (SFA) app to mark attendance and punch orders in real-time.



What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • Education: Graduate in any stream (12th Pass with good experience may be considered).
  • Previous Experience: 1-2 years experience in field-sales with D2C FMCG company
  • Mobility: Must own a two-wheeler and a valid driving license.
  • Language: Fluency in the local language is mandatory; basic English is preferred.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using a smartphone and sales apps.

  • Street Smart: Ability to navigate local markets and negotiate with tough shopkeepers.
  • Resilient: Sales involves rejection; you must be able to handle "No" and keep moving.
  • Hustler: Since we are a D2C startup, we value speed and initiative over rigid processes.
