HVAC Site Engineer

Position : HVAC Site Engineer

Reporting To : Project Manager

Department : Projects / Execution

Location :Pune Project Site(s)

Role Purpose

The HVAC Site Engineer is responsible for day-to-day site execution of HVAC works, ensuring installations are carried out as per approved drawings, quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines, while coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

 Execute HVAC installation activities including:

o Ducting

o Chilled water / refrigerant piping

o AHUs, FCUs, VRF units, chillers

 Coordinate daily work with supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors

 Ensure work is carried out as per approved GFC drawings & method statements

 Plan daily work activities and allocate manpower accordingly

 Ensure HVAC installations meet project specifications and quality standards

 Conduct joint inspections with QA/QC and client representatives

 Identify, report, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

 Prevent rework by ensuring first-time-right execution

 Enforce safety rules and procedures at site

 Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings

 Ensure use of PPE by all workmen

 Report safety incidents and support corrective actions

 Track daily manpower attendance and productivity

 Monitor subcontractor performance and output

 Optimize manpower utilization to meet schedules

 Report shortages or inefficiencies to Project Manager

 Raise material requisitions as per project schedule

 Coordinate with stores and purchase for timely material delivery

 Verify material received at site against approved specifications

 Monitor material usage and prevent wastage or pilferage

 Maintain latest set of approved HVAC drawings at site

 Ensure work is executed as per latest revision

 Mark as-built drawings and site modifications

 Maintain daily site records and checklists

 Take site measurements for executed works

 Prepare measurement sheets for RA bills

 Support Project Manager in billing and variation documentation

 Track quantities against BOQ

 Coordinate with client engineers, consultants, and PMC

 Attend site meetings and inspections

 Address site queries and RFIs

 Ensure timely approvals and sign-offs

 Support testing & commissioning activities

 Coordinate with OEMs during commissioning
