ICWA Accountant – Roles & Responsibilities1. Costing & Cost Control

• Prepare product/service cost sheets
• Analyze cost of materials, labour, and overheads
• Identify cost reduction opportunities
• Monitor variance between actual vs standard cost

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Monitor budget vs actual performance
• Suggest corrective actions for deviations

3. Financial Analysis

• Profitability analysis (project-wise / division-wise)
• Break-even analysis
• Margin analysis and cost comparison
• MIS reports for management

4. Inventory & Material Control

• Monitor stock valuation
• Track slow-moving & dead inventory
• Verify material consumption
• Coordinate with stores and purchase team

5. Compliance & Reporting

• Assist in statutory audit and internal audit
• Maintain cost records as per requirements
• Prepare cost audit reports (if applicable)
• Ensure compliance with financial policies

6. Pricing & Tender Support

• Prepare costing for quotations and tenders
• Support sales team in price decisions
• Analyze profitability before finalizing price

7. Process Improvement

• Improve cost accounting systems
• Develop SOPs for cost control
• Implement financial controls

8. Coordination

• Work with accounts, purchase, and production teams
• Provide financial data to management
• Support decision-making with cost insights
