Role Overview

The Manufacturing Systems Solution Architect is responsible for designing, integrating, and supporting key operational systems across the manufacturing environment. This includes MES, QMS, CMMS, label management platforms, and S&OP applications. The role ensures these systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs across multiple sites. The architect works closely with Operations and IT teams to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and overall system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the architecture and roadmap for MES, QMS, CMMS, labeling, and S&OP systems
• Lead system integrations with ERP and other enterprise applications
• Support system deployments, upgrades, and enhancements across multiple sites
• Provide Level 2 support and troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Review system logs, performance data, and user feedback to identify improvements
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, SOX, and internal IT policies
• Develop standardized processes for incident management, problem resolution, and change control
• Identify automation opportunities using SQL, scripting, or SSIS
• Support user acceptance testing and help develop training materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience implementing or supporting MES, QMS, CMMS, or label management systems
• Strong understanding of Plex or similar cloud‑based MES platforms
• Experience with system integrations across ERP, manufacturing, and supply chain systems
• Knowledge of S&OP processes; experience with Logility S&OP is a strong plus
• Technical skills in SQL, scripting, or automation tools
• Ability to troubleshoot across applications, servers, networks, and databases
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with Operations and IT stakeholders
• Experience supporting multi‑site manufacturing environments preferred

Role Overview

IT Manager, Manufacturing Systems Architecture & Operations is responsible for overseeing the strategy, delivery, and day‑to‑day support of key manufacturing applications across multiple sites. This leader manages a team of Solution Architects and technical support resources who maintain and enhance MES, QMS, CMMS, label management, and S&OP systems. The role ensures system reliability, drives standardization, and partners with Operations and IT to deliver scalable, high‑value solutions that support manufacturing performance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects and technical support staff
• Set priorities, assign work, and ensure timely delivery of projects, enhancements, and operational support
• Own the architecture roadmap for MES, QMS, CMMS, labeling, and S&OP systems
• Establish standards, best practices, and governance for manufacturing system design and integration
• Oversee system performance, uptime, and incident resolution across all manufacturing sites
• Ensure effective Level 2/3 support and manage escalations for critical issues
• Drive root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions for recurring problems
• Oversee system implementations, upgrades, and multi‑site deployments
• Ensure successful integrations with ERP, S&OP, and other enterprise applications
• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity, SOX, and internal IT policies
• Identify automation opportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual work
• Partner with Operations and IT to ensure solutions meet business needs and performance expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience leading teams responsible for MES, QMS, CMMS, labeling, or similar manufacturing systems
• Strong understanding of Plex or other cloud‑based MES platforms
• Experience with system integrations across ERP, manufacturing, and supply chain systems
• Knowledge of S&OP processes; experience with Logility S&OP is a strong plus
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and deliver complex, multi‑site solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, servers, networks, and databases
• Technical skills in SQL, scripting, or automation tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Experience in regulated or compliance‑driven environments preferred
