SUMMARY

The Manager, Data Management Group oversees the India team of Data Governance and Data Analytics Consultants, responsible for delivering high‑quality analytics, custom reporting, and automated data solutions that enable strategic insight and enterprise performance. The role supports data governance and data quality frameworks, responds to ad‑hoc data requests, and works across business and IT teams to clearly articulate and deliver complex data initiatives.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Lead and manage the Data Management consultant team, ensuring delivery against agreed KPIs.
  • Reviews and analyzes data to ensure quality, and supports the implementation of automated solutions to improve efficiency and handle client custom reporting needs.
  • Promote in design, build and deploy modern data and analytical solutions.
  • Participates in the initiatives related to improving data quality in the Data Management Platform.  Work closely with data steward , data consultants and technology partners to gather and prepare data related business requirements used to implement improvements / solutions.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on techniques, practices or technologies that would enhance data related business needs.
  • Own data governance and data quality frameworks, including controls, monitoring, and compliance reviews.
  • Design and support modern analytics and automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Understands and optimize complex SQL queries to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Identify and drive automation opportunities across data and analytics processes.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and global partners regarding automation needs.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day to day management of the TPS IRAS Data Management team including,

  • Ownership of KPIs, service delivery commitments, and quality outcomes
  • To work with the team, internal departments and group projects area on any allocated projects.
  • Analyze monthly management information to understand where quality at an individual, process, team or management company needs to be addressed
  • To lead the team, internal departments and other partner areas on strategic initiatives.
  • To facilitate regular team meetings and ensure ongoing engagement of partners
  • To set partner objectives and monitors these and provide feedback through monthly one to one meetings
  • Management of, and guidance to staff, fostering an environment which encourages employee participation, teamwork and communication.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • 3+ years’ experience in Data Governance / Data Quality / Analytics, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with tools such as Collibra, Talend, Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI, Python, R; exposure to Snowflake/Azure preferred.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, ETL, and data integration concepts.
  • Experience in supporting and promoting modern, automated data and analytics solutions
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Trouble Shooting on the Data Gaps     

EXPERIENCE

  • A Graduate or Postgraduate with 9+ years of overall experience, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, including 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Data Quality and Data Governance with a strong analytics and automation focus.
  • Must be flexible to work in shifts and/or on a rotational basis
  • Demonstrated track record of leading data, analytics, or automation initiatives
  • Prior experience in Financial Services or other regulated environments is preferred

Eligibility for Internal partners

Should have completed 1 year as Section manager.
