Medical Officer

The Medical Officer – is responsible for providing medical care to admitted patients, monitoring clinical progress, coordinating with consultants and nursing staff, maintaining medical records, and ensuring quality patient management within the hospital.

1. Examine and assess admitted patients regularly.
2. Diagnose and manage medical conditions under consultant supervision.
3. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
4. Respond promptly to medical emergencies in the ward.
5. Ensure timely admission, discharge processes.
6. Prescribe medications, investigations, and treatments.
7. Interpret laboratory and diagnostic reports.
8. Perform minor bedside procedures when required.
9. Maintain infection control and patient safety protocols.
10. Participate in ward rounds with consultants.
11. Maintain accurate patient records and case sheets.
12. Prepare discharge summaries and clinical notes.
13. Ensure proper documentation of treatment plans and progress notes.
14. Assist in counseling patients and relatives regarding treatment plans.
15. ollow hospital policies.
