Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Java Developer supporting microservices and cloud-native platforms to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable enterprise solutions. This role involves architecting robust back-end services, integrating APIs and databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance, security, and operational resilience supporting digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will drive architecture, enforce best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement supporting enterprise growth.

Software Requirements

Required Software Proficiency:

• Java (latest version, e.g., Java 17 or 11) — extensive hands-on experience in developing scalable, enterprise Java applications

• Spring Boot (latest version) — proven expertise in building microservices architectures supporting business processes

• RESTful APIs & GraphQL — strong experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs supporting distributed services

• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL — support data storage, retrieval, and performance optimization

• Version control: Git, GitHub — managing source code, branches, and collaboration workflows supporting DevOps practices

Preferred Software Skills:

• Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, or GCP — experience deploying, scaling, and supporting cloud-native applications (preferred)

• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (2+ years) — supporting scalable deployment in cloud environments

• Build tools: Maven, Gradle — for automation, dependency management, and build processes

• CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI — automating deployment, testing, and integration workflows

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure microservices supporting enterprise applications and APIs

• Collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot microservices, APIs, and data integration workflows supporting high-availability systems

• Enforce best practices in coding, security, and architecture, supporting operational resilience and compliance standards

• Support cloud deployments, container orchestration, and environment upgrades supporting business growth

• Support system migrations, performance tuning, and application security support supporting enterprise operations

• Document architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational best practices supporting audit and compliance

• Drive automation initiatives supporting CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code for scalable, repeatable deployments

• 8+ years supporting enterprise-grade, scalable, and secure microservices and cloud-native applications

• Proven expertise designing, deploying, and managing large-scale microservices architectures in cloud environments supporting enterprise operations

• Extensive experience with API, database integration, and automation supporting high-availability systems

• Background working within agile teams, supporting continuous delivery and DevOps practices supporting operational resilience

• Support experience supporting regulated industries with compliance, security, and audit standards support (preferred)

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and optimize microservices, APIs, and back-end systems supporting enterprise workflows

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and secure solutions supported by cloud infrastructure

• Automate deployment, integration, and environment setup using DevOps tools and infrastructure as code supporting operational efficiency

• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and security issues proactively in support of high-availability standards

• Support cloud migration, scaling, and system upgrades to promote resilience and compliance

• Maintain detailed documentation on architecture, security policies, deployment procedures, and operational workflows

• Conduct root cause analysis, performance tuning, and incident response activities supporting enterprise operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline

• 8+ years supporting enterprise microservices architecture, cloud-native applications, and automation in high-availability environments

• Certifications supporting cloud architecture, microservices, or DevOps (preferred)

• Support experience supporting scalable, secure, and compliant enterprise systems supporting high transaction volumes
