What You Will Get To Do:

As a QA Test Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems through meticulous planning, execution, and documentation of testing activities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to validate business requirements, identify and resolve defects, and maintain system integrity. You will be expected to apply a range of testing methodologies—including Agile and Waterfall—depending on project needs, contributing to iterative development cycles or structured delivery phases as appropriate. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your understanding of financial technologies, contribute to continuous improvement, and mentor junior team members—all while helping deliver robust, user-focused solutions.

• Design and maintain high-quality test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate that business requirements are met
• Produce clear and comprehensive testing documentation in line with organizational standards
• Execute structured and thorough testing activities, adhering to test plans and utilizing appropriate tools to ensure system stability and capture accurate test evidence
• Identify, log, and track software defects, ensuring all relevant information is recorded to support efficient resolution
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of testing tasks
• Develop a strong understanding of SS&C systems and associated technologies to enhance testing effectiveness and support user-focused validation
• Apply industry and business knowledge to assess system functionality and ensure alignment with operational needs
• Monitor and manage issue reporting, ensuring timely progression through to resolution
• Support the development of junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Maintain data integrity by ensuring the reliability and accuracy of system functions critical to daily operations

What You Will Bring:

• Practical experience in software testing, including proficiency with industry-standard testing tools and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and scripting 
• Familiarity with the financial services domain, particularly Life & Pensions, is advantageous
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues
• Clear and effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
• Holding a recognized testing certification, such as ISTQB Foundation Level or higher, is required
