Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for medical testing, transfusions, research, or donations. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, a steady hand, and a commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
• Label, process, and transport specimens accurately and efficiently
• Verify patient identity and maintain proper documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols
• Maintain and sterilize equipment and work areas
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after blood draws
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals
• Maintain inventory of supplies and report shortages

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Certification in phlebotomy (preferred or required depending on regulations)
• Proven experience as a phlebotomist or in a similar role
• Knowledge of proper blood collection techniques and safety standards
• Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory procedures
