Position Summary:
Join our team in Pune as a Senior Engineer/Engineer – Compliance & Certification, where you will support new product development for industrial automation solutions. You will help ensure our products meet global safety, reliability, and performance standards by reviewing designs, conducting test planning, and collaborating with certification agencies. This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in compliance engineering while contributing to innovative technologies that shape the future of industrial automation. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Review product designs and provide detailed feedback to design teams with respect to relevant global standards such as UL, CSA, FM, ATEX, IEC, NEC and others applicable to industrial and hazardous location products.
• Examine schematics, PCB layouts, component selections, circuit analyses, and FMEA documents to ensure compliance and identify any non‑conformities; collaborate with designers to resolve issues.
• Assess drawings, manuals, descriptive reports, and related documentation for alignment with compliance requirements.
• Interpret product standards (IECEx, ATEX, UL, IEC, CSA) and prepare test plans as required for certifications; validate these plans with internal teams, business units, and external agencies.
• Prepare authorized test reports, communicate findings to project teams, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external test laboratories or certification bodies to support certification activities.
• Develop compelling technical justifications that demonstrate how product safety features meet regulatory expectations.

You express ideas in ways that help colleagues understand the vision, connect to the work, and move forward collaboratively. For This Role, You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including signal processing, filtering, and microcontroller‑based systems.
• Hands‑on experience working in laboratory environments—setting up, troubleshooting, and completing electrical tests.
• Approximately 6+ years of relevant experience in compliance engineering or related fields. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electronics & Communication Engineering with experience in product testing and validation per international standards (UL, CSA, IEC, EN).
• Ability to conduct complex circuit analysis and experience working with Intrinsic Safety or related application standards.
• Strong understanding of intrinsic safety principles and practical experience with Ordinary and Hazardous location standards such as IEC/UL/CSA 60079 series, ATEX Directive, UL913, and related standards.
• Experience supporting approvals for Intrinsic Safety and Flameproof/Explosion‑Proof designs.
• Working knowledge of certification requirements across electrical and mechanical domains.
• Experience collaborating with certification bodies such as UL, CSA, Intertek, TUV, etc. Our Culture and Commitment To You:
