Product Compliance Engineer

• Review the product designs and provide review comments to designers, with respect to applicable UL, CSA, FM, ATEX, IEC, NEC and similar standards for products categories such as industrial and hazardous location, industrial control equipment etc. 
• Co-ordinate with local and international labs and certification bodies to get the products certified. 
• Assess the drawings, manuals, descriptive reports to ensure the compliance with the standards
• Prepare assessment report, construction review, test plan, sample requirement and execute the tests thru internal as well as external certification body test labs
• Identify the non-compliance gaps and co-work with design team to fix the issues
• Guide internal & external customers regarding the matters of both ordinary and hazardous location product safety certifications
• Participate in Engineering changes, conducting the analysis of modifications affecting the certification of those products under change
• Watch concerned Standard & Regulations evolution and inform the Product Engineering team about any coming modification impacting product compliance
• Exchange regularly with other region Certification Engineers about regulation evolution
• Coordinate the certification renewal plan for DAUT products.
• Initiate and Manage product certification renewal to ensure the compliance continuity.
• Develop and moderate the sustaining of all certification documentation: proper records, certification files, marking specifications, declaration of conformity and documentation control procedures, developing and improving these where necessary
• Provide guidance to all departments on the application of standards, regulations, and directives
• Review the Installation and Maintenance sheet related to ATEX/IECEx product to guarantee the safe use of the product by customers
• Review and approve all the modification of the Product design/documentation related to ATEX/IECEx requirements.
• Approve the derogation based on argumentation prepared by Product Engineering team.
• Inform Notified Body about any product design or documentation modification related to ATEX/IECEx certification.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum Bachelor of Engineering, Electronics / Mechatronics/Mechanical having relevant certification exposure of Min 7+ years in certification domain
• Software skills: Microsoft office, AutoCAD Basic Skills, Creo (Expert level). 
• Working experience of Ordinary location and Hazardous location standards like IEC 60079/UL/CSA/FM series, IEC 60598, 61010 series, UL 429, UL1203, UL 508, UL 508A and equivalent CSA & FM standards, ATEX & IECEx
• Experience working with certification agencies like UL, CSA, Intertek, TUV etc. 
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Undertakes work in an efficient and timely manner
• A willingness to learn is critical
• Good Knowledge of Solenoid Valves, Relief valves, Pneumatic Valves, Shutoff Valve.
• Keywords: Solenoid Valve, Pneumatics, Air Operated Valves, Filter Regulators, Valve Design, Pneumatic circuit diagrams, Pneumatic Flow Diagrams, Pneumatic ISO Symbol
• Conversant with MS Office Software tools such Word, Excel & Power Point
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working player.

• A willingness to learn is critical

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system
• Working knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and requirements 
• Working knowledge of LVD testing and requirements 
• Hands of experience of product safety testing on own
• Working knowledge of CE marking. UKCA marking knowledge would be an added advantage
