Position Title- Purchase Executive

Location- Pune, Maharashtra

Department-nPurchase / Procurement

Reporting To- Operations Head

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive for our solar light manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, vendor management, purchase planning, negotiation, and ensuring timely procurement of components required for production and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Handle procurement of solar lighting components, electrical items, hardware, poles, batteries, LEDs, controllers, cables, and related materials.

Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.

Compare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).

Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts departments for material planning.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.

Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and documentation.

Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.

Ensure quality and quantity verification of incoming materials.

Track market trends and pricing to optimize procurement costs.

Resolve supplier-related issues and maintain healthy vendor relationships.

Support management in cost reduction and procurement planning.

Required Skills

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management

Basic understanding of electrical/solar components

Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP software

Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines

Strong analytical and documentation skills

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.

Additional certification in procurement or supply chain is an advantage.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement.

Preference will be given to candidates from solar, electrical, LED lighting, or manufacturing industries.

Salary -

As per industry standards and candidate experience.
