Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities: Support functions for the Data Products Business of a leading sell-side research firm.

• Understanding the client’s proprietary equity valuation model and databases.
• Setting and maintaining automated reports for clients by writing/modifying advanced SQL queries on Gitlab; using databases hosted on Databricks.
• Handling voluminous data and creating interactive dashboards after performing necessary data validation checks.
• Working with domain expert/sector specialists/analysts to understand their data requirements and setting up reports as per their needs.
• Updating/integrating large datasets within client’s applications using flat files, database, or API connections.
• VBA, Python application development; database maintenance related activities according to the team’s requirements.
• Development/Support of IT systems, Business Analysis, Client Interaction, Project coordination.

What are we looking for in you?

• Coding skills in SQL, Python/R and VBA
• Experience in Databricks platform and Gitlab version control
• Basic working knowledge of XML and Unix shell scripting
• Good understanding of financial markets,accounting concepts and equity valuation
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy; Diligence and hard work
• Should have excellent MS Office skills (including advanced Excel)
• The candidate should be open minded and willing to learn and grow on the role
