Key Responsibilities

🔹 AMS Support & Incident Management

• Provide L2/L3 support for MDM/MDG-related issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve: Master data inconsistencies and duplicates, Workflow failures (MDG change requests), Data replication issues between systems
• Manage tickets via ServiceNow / JIRA / Remedy ensuring SLA adherence

🔹 Master Data Governance (MDG)

• Support MDG processes for: Business Partner (Customer/Vendor), Material Master. Finance master data (GL, Cost Centers – if applicable)
• Handle: Change Request (CR) processing, Workflow configuration & troubleshooting, Data validation rules and derivations

🔹 Data Maintenance & Quality

• Ensure high data quality through: Data validation, Standardization, De-duplication
• Perform mass data updates using: LSMW / LTMC (if applicable), MDG tools / data replication frameworks

🔹 Integration & Replication

• Support master data integration across: ECC ↔ MDG ↔ Other systems (CRM, SRM, external apps)
• Troubleshoot: DRF (Data Replication Framework) issues, IDoc / ALE / API-based replication failures

🔹 Change Requests & Enhancements

• Work on CRs and minor enhancements: Data model enhancements, UI changes (FPM / Web Dynpro), Validation & derivation logic (BRF+)
• Prepare functional specs and coordinate with ABAP team

🔹 Testing & Deployment

• Perform: Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT support
• Support transport movement and production deployments

🔹 Documentation & Governance

• Maintain: Data standards and governance policies, Process documentation and KT materials
• Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks

🔹 Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for: Automation in master data processes, Improved data governance workflows
• Recommend best practices for master data lifecycle management

Required Skills & Experience

✔ Experience

• 7–12 years of SAP experience
• Strong experience in: SAP MDM or SAP MDG, ECC AMS / Support projects
• Experience in handling production support environments

✔ Functional Expertise

• Strong knowledge of: Customer Master (KNA1, KNVV), Vendor Master (LFA1, LFB1), Material Master (MARA, MARC)
• Understanding of: Business Partner (BP) concept (nice to have)

✔ MDG/MDM Skills

• Experience with: MDG Data Models, Change Request workflows, DRF (Data Replication Framework)
• Hands-on with: BRF+ (validation/derivation rules), FPM / UI configuration

✔ Technical Awareness

• Knowledge of: IDocs / ALE
• Basic ABAP debugging (nice to have)
• Understanding of: Data migration tools (LSMW, Migration Cockpit)

✔ Tools & Methodologies

• ITSM tools: ServiceNow / JIRA / Remedy
• Exposure to: SAP Solution Manager (optional)

Good to Have

• Experience with: SAP S/4HANA MDG
• Central Finance / Data Harmonization projects
• Knowledge of: SAP BTP integrations, Data quality tools
