Senior Salesforce Solution Architect and Functional Lead

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer & Functional Analyst to support the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform at Client. This role sits within the Innovation & Transformation Team of the Academic Related Resources Directorate and will play a crucial part in both technical development and business analysis for Salesforce-based solutions.

In addition to building and customizing Salesforce applications, this role will support product backlog management, gather and refine business requirements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet evolving university needs.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect / Functional Lead to drive the design and implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions. This role will focus on CRM data migration, platform enablement, and building a robust data model to support alumni, marketing, and engagement functions. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with technical architecture while ensuring high-quality, future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Define and design a comprehensive Salesforce data model to support alumni, marketing, and engagement data.

• Establish lifecycle stages, relationship structures, and data hierarchies.

• Design and govern data migration architecture, including mapping, transformation, and validation strategies.

• Define and enforce data governance, quality, and deduplication rules.

• Conduct solution workshops to gather requirements and translate them into scalable system designs.

• Provide architectural guidance and oversight to configuration, development, and migration teams.

• Ensure the platform supports reporting, segmentation, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve system usability and performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Salesforce architecture and solution design.

• Expertise in CRM data modeling and data structures.

• Proven experience in designing and executing data migration frameworks.

• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and deduplication strategies.

• Ability to translate business workflows into scalable system architecture.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application/System Architect, Data Architecture).

• Experience working with large-scale CRM transformations or migrations.

• Familiarity with marketing automation and engagement platforms.
