Job Description
Job Summary
The Tech Support & Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to customers and handling service centre operations, including troubleshooting, repairing, testing, servicing, installation, and maintenance of biometric devices and related software. The role also involves customer issue resolution, warranty and RMA coordination, documentation, and ensuring timely service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, remote access, and on-site visits.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, test, configure, and maintain biometric devices, Aadhaar devices, attendance systems, and access control solutions.
- Handle service centre activities, including device inspection, firmware upgrades, quality testing.
- Process warranty, RMA, repair, and replacement requests, coordinate with OEMs, and maintain service records.
- Create and manage service tickets, prepare repair quotations and invoices using Zoho Desk and Zoho Books, and maintain documentation.
- Perform software installation, configuration, database backup/restore, basic SQL troubleshooting, API testing, and network-related troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical documentation, service reports,
- Use AI productivity tools to improve business
- Coordinate with Development, QA, Sales, Stores, Accounts, and OEM teams to ensure timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
