Your key responsibilities

• Managing the portfolio of sourced transaction processing for Bank Guarantees for a particular country or a set of countries.
• Knowledge on handling and processing claims related to Bank Guarantees.
• Performing workability checks and due diligence on incoming and outgoing guarantee texts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Managing "extend or pay" scenarios and processes for expiring guarantees.
• Stakeholder management with a focus on internal and external clients.
• Ensuring high client satisfaction through efficient and accurate Guarantee processing.
• Collaborating with multiple internal clients, across distinct process groups and locations, related to Guarantee issuance and management.
• Driving growth in a controlled environment, specifically within the Guarantee product space.
• Measurement and adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Keeping errors and operational risks under control within the Guarantee processing unit.
• Managing crises related to Guarantee transactions without operational loss.
• Driving Efficiency Gain related projects through various initiatives / changes, specifically for Guarantee workflows.
• Deep dive in process and authorizing high value and complex Guarantee transactions.
• People Management – Recruitment, development, training, and managing attrition within the Guarantee operations team.

Your skills and experience

• Possesses adequate understanding of Trade related rules and guidelines as commissioned by ICC, specifically URDG 758 and other relevant ICC publications for Guarantees.
• In-depth understanding and practical experience in handling Bank Guarantee claims, including dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to perform thorough workability checks and vet complex guarantee texts, identifying potential risks and ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
• Experience with "extend or pay" processes and related decision-making.
• Understanding of both Direct and Indirect Guarantee processes.
• Good understanding of legal, credit, and operational risks in handling of Guarantee product/services.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) to effectively manage stakeholders and explain complex Guarantee terms.
• Flexible to work in late night shifts.
• Strong background and sound knowledge in Trade finance Operations, with significant experience in Bank Guarantees, managing a team size of 25+ FTE or more.
• CSDG (Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees) Certification is a strong added advantage.
