ob Overview
We are seeking an experienced and well-networked Liaison Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility will be to act as a strategic bridge between our company and various government departments/ministries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying upcoming government projects, navigating tender processes, securing necessary approvals, and building long-term institutional relationships to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Government Relations: Establish, maintain, and nurture strong working relationships with key officials in central, state, and local government bodies.
- Project Acquisition & Tendering: Monitor, identify, and evaluate upcoming government projects and tenders (including GeM portal listings). Assist in preparing and submitting winning proposals.
- Approvals & Clearances: Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary licenses, permits, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and environmental clearances.
- Policy Monitoring: Track changes in government policies, subsidies, and schemes that could impact or benefit the company’s business objectives.
- File Tracking & Follow-ups: Proactively follow up on pending files, proposals, and invoices within government departments to expedite processing.
- Dispute & Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any administrative bottlenecks, compliance issues, or legal hurdles delaying project execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of proven experience in government liaisoning, public relations, or corporate affairs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Law, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Networking: An active and robust network within government departments and bureaucratic circles.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of government tendering processes, procurement rules, and administrative workflows.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and diplomatic communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi (knowledge of the local regional language is a strong advantage).
