Site Supervisor With Munshi Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Labour Management

• Allocate work to labour teams as per site requirement
• Ensure proper discipline and productivity at site
• Coordinate with labour contractors

2. Daily Site Execution

• Supervise ongoing construction work (civil, shuttering, reinforcement, finishing, etc.)
• Ensure work is executed as per drawings and instructions
• Monitor quality of work and report any issues

3. Material Management

• Verify quantities received at site (cement, steel, sand, etc.)
• Prevent pilferage and misuse of materials
• Keep stock updated daily

4. Record Keeping (Munshi Role)

• Maintain:

1. Labour attendance register
2. Material stock register
3. Daily progress report (DPR)

• Submit daily/weekly reports to Project Manager / Owner

5. Quality & Safety Monitoring

• Ensure proper curing, alignment, and workmanship
• Follow safety practices (helmets, PPE, scaffolding safety)
• Report unsafe conditions immediately

6. Coordination

• Coordinate with:

1. Engineers
2. Contractors
3. Vendors / Suppliers

• Ensure timely availability of materials and manpower

7. Work Progress Tracking

• Track daily progress vs planned schedule
• Highlight delays and suggest corrective actions

Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of construction work
• Ability to read simple drawings (preferred)
• Strong supervision and coordination skills
• Honest, disciplined, and responsible
• Basic record-keeping ability

Experience

• 10-12 years experience in construction site supervision / munshi work
