Civil Site Engineer

Job Description Summary: -

This position, engaged on a Contract Worker (CW) basis, is responsible to supervise and oversee the construction process, site construction, erection and commissioning of structure and building ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, coordinating workers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Acts as the on-site supervisory resource for all construction activity with primary focus on EHS compliance and daily progress reporting to the Project Leader. Overall lifting management during construction thorough risk assessment in line with EHS Framework.

· Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed strictly. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

· Enforce rigorous safety protocols and ensure that all construction personnel adhere to safety regulations, managing and instructing the site workers, setting their schedules, and monitoring their performance.

· Enforce safety regulations and building codes, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations (unsafe act and unsafe conditions)

· Monitor and maintain the high-quality work during construction work.

· Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and aassesses safety in day-to-day work and takes care of the necessary permits

· Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process

· Daily monitoring and progress report out to Project Leader and overseeing the progress of all construction activities. 

· Monitor and track the progress of civil and structural work to ensure adherence to project timeline and budgets.

· Ensure all lifting operations are properly planned and formal documented risk assessment is undertaken.

· Collaborating with project managers, maintenance team, factory shop engineers, and architects to ensure that all activities align with the project plan.

· Oversee and manage the construction process, including coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers

· Facility / construction related activities in the facility (already constructed)

· Manage and resolve conflicts between parties involved in the project

· Maintain accurate records of progress and quality control measures

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution

· Problem-solving and troubleshooting any issues that may interrupt the timeline or budget of the project.

· Establish In depth lifting plan considering lifting methodology, hazards and control, Centre of gravity, size, shape, weight and type of components and weather condition.

· Knowledge of method used for slinging, attaching, and detaching the load with lifting points on load. Safe working load (SWL), Signals, slinging, Anchored loads, Unstable loads, winches, routine, and non-Routine lifting activities

· Understanding technical knowledge of overhead cranes and mobile cranes and basic requirement of maintenance checks, general guidance for all cranes and hoist operation of before, during and after lift

· Supervise the ongoing lifting operations to ensure safety lifting and periodically review all lifting plans and risk assessments.

· Define and finalize the lifting process in the form of lifting plan for every component well in advance to the start of lifting.

Desired Skill set: -

· Strong EHS focus.

· Familiarity with construction tools and equipment

· Proven experience in construction management or a similar role, typically 5+ years, demonstrating a track record of managing personnel and projects successfully.

· Strong understanding of construction methods, structure, materials and regulations is essential.

· Excellent lifting process engineering capabilities and analytical skills. 

· Ability to read construction blueprints and store elevation drawings

· Leadership skills necessary for managing diverse teams and interfacing with vendor, contractor, and stakeholders.

• Ability to develop credibility with employees, manager, and peers.

• High attention to detail and accuracy of every task and anticipate the future risks or challenges in advance.

• Demonstrated integrity – accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in judgements, communications, and actions when dealing with others.

Basic Qualifications(requirements):

· Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering or any other related field

· 5+ years of experience in civil construction, preferably in a supervisory role

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
