Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret civil/site design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare and maintain setting-out, leveling, and as‑built documentation.
- Supervise and inspect on‑site works including earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavements, foundations, retaining structures, and erosion control measures.
- Coordinate daily with contractors, subcontractors, surveyors, and consultants to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
- Verify materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet project specifications and applicable codes.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, progress measurement, and assist with cost control and change order evaluations.
- Produce and maintain site reports, inspection records, test reports, and photographs.
- Ensure site safety compliance and participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and corrective action follow‑ups.
- Support commissioning, final inspections, and handover; prepare punch lists and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Assist with permit applications, regulatory liaison, and environmental compliance as needed.
- Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered status preferred where applicable.
- Typically 3–6 years of relevant site engineering experience (adjustable by seniority level).
- Strong knowledge of site construction methods, materials, and industry standards (AASHTO, ASTM, local codes as applicable).
- Proficiency with surveying equipment and methods (total station, GPS) and interpreting survey data.
- Experience with design and drafting software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation) and MS Office.
- Familiarity with construction management software and BIM workflows is a plus.
