Mechanical Design Engineer

Job SummaryThe Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing engineering solutions based on project requirements. The role involves conceptual design, detailed engineering, analysis, and coordination with manufacturing and site teams to ensure successful implementation.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop conceptual and detailed designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
• Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Perform design calculations and validations (strength, load, safety factors, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes (e.g., Bureau of Indian Standards)
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and site teams
• Review and optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance
• Support installation and commissioning with technical inputs
• Conduct design modifications based on site feedback or client requirements
• Maintain proper design documentation and version control
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles
• Proficiency in CAD tools (2D & 3D modeling)
• Good understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing methods
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and analysis
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety norms
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Educational QualificationBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant field)
• Experience (Typical Range)0–2 years: Junior Design Engineer (basic drafting & support)
