Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and update patient medical records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of patient documentation before filing.
- Retrieve and provide medical records to authorized departments as per hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments to obtain missing documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with hospital policies.
- Handle record indexing, filing, scanning, archiving, and timely retrieval.
- Assist in medical record audits and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Generate and maintain departmental reports and documentation.
- Support insurance, medico-legal, and statutory documentation requirements whenever needed.
