Senior Textile Designer (Furnishings & Made-ups)

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and hands-on Textile Designer to lead the end-to-end development of our home furnishing collections. This role is unique: you will not only create original prints and embroidery patterns for bedcovers and cushions but also take full ownership of the production cycle. You will be the bridge between a creative vision and the final hand-crafted product, working closely with skilled artisans to ensure quality and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities1. Creative Design & Development

• Original Artworks: Develop unique print motifs and embroidery layouts for bedcovers, cushion covers, and other home made-ups.
• Technique Integration: Design specifically for hand-stitched details, appliqué, and intricate embroidery (Aari, Zardosi, or Kantha styles).
• Color Stories: Curate seasonal color palettes and mood boards that align with contemporary home decor trends.
• Product Construction: Define the "finish" of the product—including piping, tassels, closures, and fabric pairings.

2. Production & Artisan Management

• Sample Development: Create detailed technical sheets (Tech Packs) for artisans to follow.
• On-site Supervision: Visit workshops or units to guide artisans through the sampling and production phases.
• Quality Control: Ensure hand-stitched elements meet brand standards and that print placements are precise across different sizes.
• Timeline Management: Manage production schedules to ensure collections are ready for market deadlines.
