Tally Sales & Support Executive

📋 Core Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Generation

• Lead Management: Identify potential SME clients in industrial hubs (like Surat’s textile or diamond sectors).
• Product Demos: Perform live demonstrations of TallyPrime, showing how it solves specific business pain points (e.g., inventory tracking or GST).
• Negotiation: Handle pricing discussions and close sales for new licenses, multi-user upgrades, and TSS (Tally Software Services) renewals.
• Cross-selling: Introduce add-on modules like Tally on Cloud, WhatsApp integration, or customized TDL (Tally Definition Language) solutions.

2. Technical Implementation & Support

• Deployment: Install and configure Tally on client servers or standalone PCs.
• Data Migration: Move client data from older versions (ERP 9) or manual registers into TallyPrime without data loss.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve "mismatch" errors, voucher entry issues, and synchronization failures via remote desk (AnyDesk) or on-site visits.
• Compliance Setup: Configure GST, TDS, and TCS settings according to the latest government mandates.

3. Training & Relationship Management

• Staff Training: Educate the client’s accounting team on shortcuts, report generation, and e-invoicing.
• Retention: Maintain a database of existing clients to ensure timely renewals and high satisfaction scores.

🛠️ Specific Technical Requirements

• Tally Expertise: Mastery of TallyPrime is non-negotiable. You should understand accounting flows (Purchase > Sales > Ledger > Balance Sheet).
• Taxation Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GST filing (GSTR-1, 3B), E-way bills, and E-invoicing.
• IT Literacy: Familiarity with Windows OS, networking basics (for Tally Multi-user setups), and remote support tools.
• Documentation: Ability to prepare professional quotations, proforma invoices, and service reports.

🌟 Candidate Profile (Soft Skills)

• Patience: Crucial when explaining technical features to non-tech-savvy business owners.
• Local Language: Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is often essential for building trust with local traders in Surat.
• Mobility: Must own a two-wheeler and a valid license for frequent client site visits.
• Agility: Ability to stay updated with frequent Tally product updates and statutory changes.
